So is Tiger Woods Back? According to his agent Mark Steinberg that seems to be the case. Wood’s is scheduled to play in 3 events over the next few months starting October 13-16 at the Safeway Open in Napa California. Then again on November 3-6 at the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya, Turkey (No cuts at this tourney). And finally at his own tournament the Hero World Challenge on December 1-4 in New Providence, Bahamas.
Now there’s no guarantee that he plays all of these because it will depend on how well his back holds up and whether or not his game is up to par as well. Those are what is being said by his agent Mark Steinberg. But the fact that we may actually get to see him tee it up will do nothing but help TV ratings…even if it’s just for those who may want to see him struggle. I am sure his fellow competitors are not worried about the “Tiger Effect” any longer, but they sure wouldn’t mind him bringing back some not so die-hard golf fans to the game again. The security in the area of Turkey could be a concern for some, but the security is usually pretty strong around the complex.
The game of golf still has a little recovering to do from a missing Tiger Woods, but there are plenty of talented golfers on tour that play a mean game…they just haven’t created the drama that Tiger brought to the tour for many years. And he may not bring drama for a while if at all again, but I look forward to seeing him in action anyway.
